Decentraweb is proudly powering over 475,000 Web3 Domains registered against community owned Web3 TLDs

All users can register their own Web3 Domains from any Web3 TLD which has been staked by its owner. When registering a Web3 Domain, the registration fee and terms (renewable or no-expiry) have been set by the Web3 TLD owner and at time of registration have locked terms.

Locked terms means if you register a Web3 Domain from a Web3 TLD that has no-expiry (is expiry-less) at time of registration, and the Web3 TLD owner changes for new registrations to occur a renewal fee, because you registered when registrations provided Web3 Domains with no-expiry, your Web3 Domain will continue to have no expiration date. This is also the case if you register a Web3 Domain with for example a $10 yearly renewal fee and the Web3 TLD owner changes this to be a $50 renewal fee. As you registered at a time when the renewal fee was $10, your yearly renewal fees will continue to be $10.

Owners of Web3 Domains can utilize our core protocol utility by :

  • Selling Web3 Subdomain Registrations through Domain Staking Stake your Web3 Domains, setting registration fees and optional renewal fees, to allow other users to register Web3 Subdomains using your Web3 Domains. Registration and Renewal fees are sent directly to your wallet, as the owner of the Web3 Domain used for Web3 Subdomain registrations/renewals minus protocol fees

  • Registering Unlimited Web3 Subdomains using your Web3 Domain Register unlimited Web3 Subdomains from your Web3 Domains within our DNS platform. Through registration you will mint your Web3 Subdomains as ERC721 NFTs which can be traded on any NFT marketplace or used as Web3 Domains.

  • Reserving Unlimited Web3 Subdomains using your Web3 Domain Opt to reserve unlimited Web3 Subdomains from your Web3 Domains to disallow others from registering your reserved Web3 Subdomains. For example, if you owned 1.234 as a Web3 Domain, you may wish to disallow 0.1.234 from being registered.

  • Using your Web3 Domain as your Web3 Identity Resolve your Web3 Domain against your Wallet Address for over 150 cryptocurrencies, use as your decentralized website address, your decentralized chat handle and more.
